Hello Everyone. It’s your favorite ninja monkey here, Plier Monkey. Don't worry Money Monkey didn't have another mishap and didn't go MIA on us. We have been working on getting ready for the 2010 Indy Gen Con. Unfortunately we will not be having a booth there, but we will be teaching classes.
The preparations are going to take us a while to do. This means we will more than likely have to put off any updates for at least another week. I'm thinking it will be more like two more weeks at least. This doesn't mean that we will not be having updates. It’s just that the update will be information only updates about what we are getting ready for Indy Gen Con 2010. Money Monkey and myself have been teaching classes on chainmaille at Gen Con for the last 2 years. This will be the first year we will have done it as part of Medieval Monkey Creations. We have submitted a list of classes for approval. Below is a quick guide to what we hope to be teaching this year.

******Special Report!****** Hey Everyone! I'm sorry for the delays on this update! But here's a secret, it wasn't REALLY delayed. For those that have been shopping around you'll have noticed that there is a new shipping option! This is the weight based system that I had been working on for a while. Took me a bit to work out the bugs... sorry about that. This option will allow allthose order smaller items to dramaticly save on shipping, more money to buy other goodies with :-D win win right? For those that were wondering where I went, it had nothing to do with choking on coin. I got recruited by the wicked witches flying monkey squad. They needed someone to do thier payroll cuz they had some people out with some flu. Didn't have much choice ya know? I've seen enough movies to know its NEVER a good idea to cross witch.. besides, there was lots of good food and if it wasnt for the endless chanting and the itches in spots of the wings i just couldnt scratch it woulda been a lot more tollerable. Hello there everyone. It's me Plier Monkey. Money Monkey is currently M.I.A. I think he may have chocked on a quarter. Because Money Monkey is the photographer, there will not be an item update this week. I am however working some stuff on the back end of things; you knew all that hiding in the shadows and stuff. The update will help make site updates a bit easier. I hope this will produce more updates in a timely manner. Before Money Monkey went M.I.A. he let me know of an update he is working on as well. So as soon as he gets back I hope we will be able to implant it. While it is not an item it will be a way of saving some money on all your future purchases. Money Monkey has worked long and hard to come up with a shipping chart. This has taken many visits to the post office and a lot of time weighing items. I have been working on another section of the website that has yet to be posted. Medieval Monkey (our mascot) was interested in sharing his infinite wisdom with our customers. I would encourage anyone interested to send Medieval Monkey an e-mail with your questions. This does not have to be related to our site or items. Hey Everyone! I hope the Holiday season finds you happy and well! The holidays + the various projects im working on have kinda caught me by surprise so again sorry for the late update. In return.. early update o.O How's that work you might ask? Well The first item was done and ready to be posted last week but I was a little preocupied with bananna pudding 0.0; The second item is fresh and ready for this weeks update so I figured I'd post two at same time! Makes sense right? yup, monkey logic ftw. Here are the two items: Flower Petal Earrings "Fall Leaves" Earrings These two items are our first completed products made with anodized scales. Scales were originally used for scalemaille but like the rest of our products, we've brought it into the modern useable realm. Because for soem reason people really don't like you walking down the street wearing a suit of armour... paranoids o.O I have another item I'm trying to get done before New Year's but I'm really stretching my abilities and mixxies what I know with a big pile of Question marks. Lotta trial and error but almost got this one in the bag. Hey Everyone! This week we've started getting into the holiday spirit! We have 2 new items for you this week! The first item is the Wreath earrings which can be found by Clicking Here! I call them wreath because well... tis the season and to me they sort of look like wreaths. The next item is something for those wishing to have something unique on thier tree this year! We've taken Christmas Ornaments and added a touch of chainmaille to spice it up. This is the first pattern and we plan on adding more in the near future. Hey Everyone! No we're not dead, we're just buried under a mountain of unidentifyable material... So sorry for the massively late posts we're going to make it up to you though! Instead of boring you with details I'll get strait to our two items(one that was suposed to be posted last week and one for this week). There was a third one but its proving a little difficult to finish up so it's been put off. Hey Everyone! Theres no rest for the wicked! This week brings the release of another earring option! You can check out the our latest item in the "Earrings" section The Dangles! by Clicking Here These earrings make great accents to outfits as they come in a variety of colors! Speaking of colors( great segway huh?) We now are fully restocked with all colors for both of our color option section 165-16 and 141-4. So if theres a color you want you can now get it :) For those that regularly search thru the site you'll notice that I had posted a Dicechart for our D20 keychains. I'm just now pointing it out though. People were wondering what all the dice we had and while words are great it just couldn't convey the look properly. Plus who wants to read a paragraph just to describe what 1 of the dice options looks like? So! Now thre is a link in the d20 keychain to see what all d20 dice we currently have in stock. Dont forget thou, if theres another die color/ combination that you would like us to do then just give us a shout and let us know and we'll see what we can do :) Tommorows thanksgiving and I had another new item planned in honor of Thanksgivving but I just havent had time to complete it. Hey Everyone! Here's the update for this week! We''ve added a new item this week that actually uses BOTH of our color chart options. You can check out the necklace/Choker Click Here We've named it the Dragon Pendent. Don't forget about the rewards program I announced over the weekend, which you can check out HERE Also! I've managed to get ahold of some more red rings for the 165-16 color chat options! So we can now use them for products, yay! We're still out of the Orange thou but they are on order and should get them in a week or so. We'll let you know as soon as we get our paws on them :) So all items with that color chart code in its description are affected. We've also got a few things in the same order that should let us go bananas making new items but you'll just have to see what ;) Also I dont think just 1 item is good enough for this week, so I'm going to do another update because... why not? :) stay tuned! WEEKEND UPDATE!Okay Here's the update that I promised yesterday I know normaly I get rid of the previous update when i post again but hey, 24hrs isnt enoguh for all that goodness so you get twice as much update goodness on the frontpage for once ;)Now on to what you really care about... The really awesome update that I've been promising. Well here it is.. ready? ...you sure? ...okay then... We''ve implimented a Customer Referal Rewards program! Kinda like the credit card companies have but minus the long waiting and obvious ripoffs. You check it out by clicking on the link on the right side of the Home page over there >>>>> Or HERE But here is the gist of it. You gain points for EVERY dollar you spend on products(doesnt include S&H or tax only product purchase prices. You also get DOUBLE points for The entire first purchase of someone you refer. You get 1 pt for ever eligable dollar you spend and 2pts for someone you refer's first purchase. After you've acumulated ONLY 20 points you get a 1 dollar Credit that you can use whenever you want towards the total purchase price(including shipping). Want an example? Sure! Lets say you buy a Chainmailled Teddy bear, You will get 20 points which entitle you to 1.00$ off a future purchase. You then tell your friend about the site and they put into thier comment field that you refered them when they buy a santa hat. Not ONLY do THEY get 80pts for thier purchase, but YOU get 160 points for thier purchase! Thats 8.00$ off that you can apply towards a future purchase. Using this system you can get items completely free strickly by refering people!! Why are we doing this? Well... We've had a LOT of people say they REALLY like some of our products, but they just dont have the money for it. We think everyone should be able to enjoy this artform and THIS gives you a way to do it. We've bounced the idea off a few people and the main concern they seem to face is... can we really afford to do this? Can we really afford to keep it going? The answer? ..We honestly don't know.. and we won't know till we give it a try right? But here's the thing.. Even if we end up stopping this program in the future because it turns out to just be completely unfeaseable. ALL points and reward credits at the time will be honored. And knowing us, we'll probly warn you in advance so that you can get in a last few points to use on something you want. No credits will be lost, ever. I promised a LOT of updates and I'm here to tell you I'm here to deliver! This is definitly the biggest update I've done thus far.. too much work and not enough sleep but it's turned out awesomely! Some of you may have noticed that I've been adding things without posting the news section yet well thats because... So much is changing I don't want to fill up the archive with small updates lol On to the updates! I've added the Colorchart that I've been promising, you can find it HERE With the color chart you can see for yourself what the rings will look like. Slight variation but looks pretty on the money. You'll notice it has two sections. This is for different items and from now on items that have a color option with have acompanying sections so you'll know if anything is affecting that particular item(instead of us listing all the items affected) I have also Added a new Earrings HERE and I'm working on a new necklace to match. You SHOULD also notice that all of our links to our store have been changed over to a picture this is due to some feedback that its been apparently hard to find the "click here to buy" link because its words. So here's the new picture to look for !  Yup it's my avatar, I'm not called the Money Monkey for nothing :-D Besides, if it was Pliar Monkey You'd never find him when you wanted him, sneaky ninjas.. Also A few announcements. Do to popular demand We are out of stock of the following colors: Red, Orange, and nearly out of Purple for Color Section 165-16. Items that have 165-16 in thier description are affected. On the same topic of supplies.. We have removed the flogger because of a problem with the proper supplies for the pattern we had created. Now its a matter of finding the correct materials or creating a new pattern. Both are lengthy processes so we've decided to remove the item until we get this sorted out. Wow, this has got to be the LATEST "weekly" update in history.. ever.... of all time It's not my fault really! The candy did it! Incase you were wondering, waking up with a sugar hangover on a Sunday that was prepacked with work is not a good thing. I dont wanna see another skittle ever... well for at least a week...My own version of "fear and loathing in las vegas" apparently lol Okay, all kidding aside, I been pretty busy with a number of things. Some of will be released this week. First you'll probly notice that we actually have a banner at the top of the page now. Also I finally got around to finishing Pliar Monkey's avatar but youll either have to go to the news archive or wait for him to post to see it ;). I've also did a major revamp of every page. Theres still more work to be done. This week also sees the release of the New Holiday Section. That is in direct relation to what I wanted to release sooner but just got hammered with Chocolate and a heaping pile of steaming....work.. I'm not bitter at all noooo :-D Because of the insane lateness and all the work I've been putting into the site there will be a couple of updates during this first week of november. Multiple items and various administrative junk that's not as pretty as what we've made. Wait, did I really jsut say "pretty" blasted sugar high >_< The Two items being released today are a Spider Web Made out of chainmaille and Chainmaille Spider version 1. This also marks a start to some more animal inspired chainmaille art. Hey Everyone! here is this weeks update! First I'll let you in on a secret. I been working on something quite large for a good amount of time.(one of the reasons while I'm purpetually late is because I hate to stop working when im on a role) But it's nearly completeion and I'm hopping/ thinking I'll have it done for next weeks update(as long as nothing ELSE gets in the way >_<) Never the less I have a surprise for next weeks update, even if the biggie isnt finished and ready for display, but you'll just have to check back next week to check that out ;) As for this week, Our update is... *drum roll*...: Thor's Hammer Earrings! We've taken an old mythological item and turned it into a chainmaille miniture On another note Pliar Monkey gets back this week so lets all Welcome him back when he gets here, maybe he'll have brought something back for us? *happy thoughts* hmm We've been adding a lot of earrings lately, I think I'm going to do something different for next week. Hey Everyone! here is this weeks update! First I'll get to the treat I mentioned last week :) I'm going to be adding a color chart so you may see the different colors we now offer. If the item has such an option it will have a link in the "Options" section ot directly take you to the chart so you can see for yourself. The reason for this is because I know I can say something is "purple" all day.. but unless YOU see it for yourself you wont know if you like it or not.. thoughtful eh? Speaking of the "options" section.. I'm reworking all of the webpages for all of our items. This way you will have more information that can help you decide if you want to get it or not(which we hope you will but its your choice ;) ). Now all of the pages list The materials its made of, whatever options are available for it, and PRICE! Yes we actually have the price listed with the item now instead of having ot go to the shopping section. Also if you noticed I've retaken the pictures for pretty much everything, and have put in some way so you can get a good idea of how big the item is. I realized this a couple weeks ago that ... no one could REALLY tell how big anything was... for all you knew it could be as big as a basketball or smaller then a grain of sand. So each picture now has SOME way for you to dicern the size(really important for earrings). Oh and you might also notice that ther is a blank "weight" area... this is so you can be more informed as well but its kind of a long task to weigh absolutly everything. And the teddy bears keep getting off the scale and running away.. grr.. i wish pliar monkey was back i need help catching these things o.o; But seriously, that is added for a future update to help get cheaper shipping based on weight. I started working on that LAST month and am still working on it, only so many hours in a day... Also I've added a general warning to most of the items we sell. I know they seem like "Captain Obvious!" Statements but really it needs to be said for those that dont understand the concept of small parts... And the New item for this week? kinda... got taken by the teddybears running from the scales. Wow did this get delayed.. But for very good reason! This week we have a special treat.. but it wont go into full effect until next week sorry :\.. the treat? We now will be offering colored ring options for quite a few of our creations! We finally got in our shipment of rings on Tuesday and Both me and Pliar Monkey geeked out on all the pretty colors. There was A.D.D. for all! :-D Thus the delay :\ Out of that randomness spawned a new set of earrings. I'll be posting 1 of the new goodies with its color options tonight. You'll just have to wait until next Wed. for all ther other goodies. I'll seriously need that much time to do all the picture taking and website expanding... so many pages to add! But you all are worth it :-D Oh and I'll let you in on a little secret... The Medieval Monkey Will be making an appearance sometime in the simi near future.. but shh dont tell Pliar Monkey that I let the cat out of the bag. He's gone for 2 weeks so HAH! And the New item for this week? Dragon Earrings! Sorry its not an actual dragon. No flame throwing earings(although that would be awesome!) These earrings are made from the "Dragonscale" weave and how we do it is a rather tight weave. The Dragon earring is available in normal Brite Aluminum, Blue, Dark Purple, Gold, Green, Orange, Pink, Red, Turqoise, Violet, and Yellow! Hey everyone. This is the Plyer Monkey here. I know I've let Money Monkey do most of the updates... ok... not so much let but kind of shoved into doing it. Annnnywaayyyyy. I've done our first double update week! It isn't a new product, but I have given the site a few more sections to make it easier to find what you are looking for. The newest sections are as listed:
Keychains I hope this makes up for the slow update this week. I would also like to encourage anyone that would to send us ideas of what they would like to see in the site. We are open to suggestions. I would also like to make sure everyone knows that we DO CUSTOM ORDERS! Before we put up the site custom orders were the only things we did. Okay! Todays got a couple Updates. The biggest change being on the Administrative side of things. When we picked Tuesday as our "Update day" We didnt really pay attention to our schedules apparently. Tuesday just plain isn't workable with all we have to do to get any 1 item posted and all the related changes that need to be made. If you've been checking repeatedly you'll notice that some of our updates are a bit late and well... my bad :\ We will be Updating on Wednesday starting October 7th. We plan on keeping a weekly update its just that Tuesday simply wasnt working. Hopefully Next week I'll be able to post a lot larger rework of the information for items. Also... If you noticed there was down time this past week sorry about that. I tried to get all proactive with update info and got stuck in the gears or something because I managed to crash the entire site. Wow Things got changed around a bit! We are going to swap out the pictures we have currently posted with pictures that have items inside the picture so you can tell how big the items are. We'll be starting with the new items, and change out the other items later. This way you'll be able to tell exactly how big the item is. If there is anything else you'd like to know about the items just ask away :) Money Monkey got buried by paperwork, new items, and a list of information that needs to be added. We are also working on having better and cheaper shipping options. It's going to take a couple works before I get the whole table finished and posted, but we're working on it :). The news just keeps getting better! Today we are announcing that now we have a full blown Shopping cart! No more writting down the items you want and emailing us the item codes! Isn't that handy? So now things should be a lot easier for you. We still only have flat rate shipping and paypal payment accepting methods but at least ordering is simpler. The newest thing out is.... US! We are a new business that went from teaching, to retail. We have 10 years experiance between us. We started out making jewelry and teaching chainmaille as a hobby.
